Matt is a Dallas native with more than 15 years of experience across the financial services and investment industries. He graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University and went on to earn his Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Dallas where he also graduated with honors. Matt is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
He began his professional journey at KPMG, working in the Audit and Advisory practice alongside Fortune 500 clients across multiple industries. Matt later transitioned into corporate finance, joining the Corporate and Investment Banking Group at SunTrust (now Truist), where he specialized in capital structure analysis and debt financing solutions. After several years at SunTrust, Matt shifted into the Hedge Fund, Alternative Investments, and Family Office space.
In addition to his finance background, Matt is an experienced real estate investor with a proven track record spanning Airbnb rentals, fix-and-flip projects, major renovations, and development-focused investments. He has even been featured on HGTV.
Above all, Matt is most proud of his family—his wife Becky and their identical twin sons, Cameron and Cade—who keep him grounded and motivated both personally and professionally.
